Childs Ercall Parish Council: advert for new Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. Closing date 7 April 2020(March 12, 2020)
Applications are invited for the Post of Parish Clerk to Childs Ercall Parish Council, a proactive, friendly and forward thinking Council, with effect from 1st May 2020. The post is for 4.5 hours per week to be worked flexibility from home with a monthly Council meeting (3rd Wednesday of the month) in Childs Ercall.
The Clerk is responsible for the administration of the Council including minutes and agendas, dealing with members of the public and the day to day running of the council services. The post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of the Councils’ accounts including day to day financial management, budget preparation and audits. A good working relationship with the Chairman and other Councillors is essential.
Ideally the applicant should be computer literate, have local government experience and hold, or be willing to work towards, the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CILCA), within one year of appointment. It is essential applicants have excellent communication and personal skills.
NJC Terms and Conditions of Employment apply to the post. The salary range is SPC23 £22,462 – SPC27 £25,295 per annum pro-rata, depending upon qualification and experience.
